It's wide range of activities offer delightful excursions for every age range and interest.

From the world-famous cliff divers of Acapulco to the exceptional snorkeling of Cabo San Lucas, touring the coast of Mexico makes for a vacation you'll always remember. If you choose one of the premium cruise lines, such as Princess Cruises, you'll get more for your money and enjoy exceptional service, too.

Glitz and Glamour of Acapulco
If you want to see and be seen, Acapulco is the place! Jet setters, movie stars, the wealthy and more clamor for all that is Acapulco. Local bistros, mariachi bands and premium shopping are just a few of the delights this cosmopolitan town offers. But, without a doubt, one of the best-loved sights is the cliff divers.

Since 1940, men have trained themselves to plunge, unscathed, from rocky cliffs 136 feet high. As if this wasn't enough, the divers land in just nine feet of water within a narrow channel filled with the churning ocean. One wrong move... one wrong calculation in timing... means certain death. Crowds flock to see this miraculous exhibition from the windows or outside deck of a local restaurant for each of the four daily shows. You won't want to miss it!

Formerly owned by legend John Wayne, the Los Flamingos Hotel is a destination all to itself. With regular celebrity sightings, many people visit the hotel just to people watch. But if you crave something more than eye candy, try a high-speed jaunt up the Papagayo River onboard a jet boat. The setting for the blockbuster movie Rambo, this river boasts untouched wildlife and rich naturescapes.

Even if you partake in world-class golf, exceptional bird watching, cooking lessons from authentic Mexican chefs and intriguing archeological tours, you've only scratched the surface of what Acapulco has to offer!

Puerto Vallarta - From Sleepy To Stunning
Who would have thought the making of a movie could transform a sleepy little fishing village into the vibrant, stunning tourist hotspot? Richard Burton's Night of the Iguana did just that for Puerto Vallarta. Today, the rich and famous flock to this international resort for great values on leather, jewelry and crafts as much as they do the white-sand beaches.

If you were asked to describe the perfect beach, what would you say? White, powdery sand? Palm trees swaying in a gentle breeze? Crystal-blue waters? You've just described Bahia de las Banderas, one of the most famous beaches in Puerto Vallarta. Relax, soak up the sun and the view, as you're pampered beyond your wildest dreams. Princess and other cruise lines make sure your every wish is met!

When you're ready for some excitement, book a dolphin adventure! Bottlenose dolphins greet you, as you get wet and wild with these friendly creatures. A local educational center sponsors these events that allow up close and personal encounters.

Jungle tours, mountain treks and other memorable excursions are available to make your stay in Puerto Vallarta everything you want it to be.

Cabo San Lucas - A Water Wonderland
The Pacific Ocean and Sea of Cortez merge at Cabo San Lucas. With water all around, you'll have your choice of a long list of quests to choose from. As the ocean pounds the ancient rock formations, you can easily spot sea lions, pelicans and even hear the thunderous sound of whale tails crashing the waves.

Snorkeling, kayaking, fishing and scuba diving are also popular pastimes in this water-encircled Mexican village. If it is related to water, chances are, you can do it in Cabo!

Many top-quality cruise lines, including Princess Cruises, take great strides to provide out-of-the-ordinary experiences for your entire family while onboard or on land. With so much to choose from in the Mexican Riviera, you can opt for practically any length of cruise you wish to as many destinations as you have time for.

About the Author
Roy Witman is Vice-President of Cruise Vacation Center at http://www.cruisevacationcenter.com offering the best deals on European cruises.

Siboney Beach Club In Antigua

Siboney in Antigua first came into my radar when I was researching, privately locally owned hotels in Antigua.

It struck me as possibly one of the more secluded romantic Caribbean resorts, and so having spent my honeymoon in Cocos in what I still think is one of the best Caribbean honeymoons hotels, I was anxious to return and try the Siboney Beach Club.

We stayed on the top, third floor in a one bedroom suite, with a small kitchen. It was very comfortable, well decorated, but we would have liked it air conditioned throughout. Only the bedroom has airconditioning, and not the other rooms, which could be unbearably hot, even with a ceiling fan.

There were also mossies but Deet took care of that problem, and I don't wish to be critical really because the Siboney Beach Club gave us a great vacation, not least because of the input of the owner Tony Johnson who has a handle on everything, and it is so nice to stay in an hotel where the owner and not a faceless manager is so ever present.

Siboney is located at the far end of Dickenson Bay, although it's not as beautiful as we were led to believe, with a Sandals resort to the right of the hotel, the beach there was far too busy, but in fairness go to the left past some crumbling buildings and you come upon a lovely deserted beach, totally peaceful.

There is an excellent restaurant right next to the hotel called the Coconut Grove, literally right on top of the beach, with superb food, at breakfast lunch and dinner, although at a price!
Be careful in Antigua with your money, because everything is in US$, not EC$ as it should be, and it can be difficult to get your hands on cash from an ATM, because they seem to be permanently empty!!

There is a lovely good size pool in the beautifully lush, and well maintained gardens, and you'll often have it to yourself.

The sunsets are another memory of Siboney in Antigua, seen with the inevitable rum punch in hand.

Siboney in Antigua is undoubtedly one of the more secluded romantic Caribbean Resorts, and is exactly the right place to stay for people like us who hate all-inclusive gin palaces.

About the Author
Jason Law writes for http://www.worldwidevacationspots.com/ and recommends to look it up for interesting articles about lesser known resorts and destinations

Europe travel

People have felt the need to travel and explore new places since forever. Global travel and vacations do pose a risk whether you're traveling alone or with your family.

Here are some simple travel safety tips you can follow without adding a lot of stress during your trip. Resort or Hotel Safety Be sure the area where you plan to stay is not a high-crime area. Check with several hotels in the area and ask what the crime level is in the neighborhood.

When staying at a remote luxury resort, be sure you know how to phone the local medical dispatchers or police in case of an emergency. You might be 20 miles out of town and a desk clerk might not be available to assist you when needed, so prepare in advance just in case.

When exiting your hotel room or the hotel lobby into the parking lot, check your surroundings for suspicious persons. Keep your money, credit cards and traveler checks hidden away in a safe place. Avoid carrying a purse or handbag openly. If the hotel provides a safe in your room, use it for valuables and money as well.

If traveling with children, never leave them alone or allow them to wander around the hotel. Predators look for children who are alone and can easily capture them and drag them into a room without your knowledge. Make Copies It's important to make copies of all important documents before leaving.

In global travel and vacations, there are usually many papers to keep up with such as licenses, passports, birth certificates, and insurance documents. You should even copy your credit cards (front and back). Leave these copies with someone you trust. Health Safety When traveling to Europe, Asia, Africa, India, or any other country, there may be health issues you should know about in advance. Some countries require vaccination shots before crossing the border. Check with your local health department as well as the country's regulations to find out what (if any) health risks exist.

It's also a good idea to take out a travel insurance policy in case you need hospital or doctor treatment while away. Understand the Laws When traveling to another country, it's good to understand the local laws before you arrive. Ignorance is no excuse.

If you plan to rent a vehicle while away, learn the road laws and what the signs mean so you'll be prepared to drive. Create an Itinerary Before you leave, create an itinerary of your travel plans and give a copy to a loved one so someone will know your travel schedule in case of emergencies. Avoid Travel Scams If seeking travel information online, beware of scams.

If you're new to travel booking, you can sign on with an experienced travel company that knows the ins and outs of travel. These companies can often get better rates for you on luxury beach resorts, golf resorts and hotels, holiday cruises, and so forth. Whether you're skiing in the Swiss Alps or visiting the sandy beaches of Greece, you'll save time and money. Costumed guided tours around the park getaway create a vamped up appeal. In fact, London is filled with parks in need of exploration. A famed zoological park and many cultivated gardens come together to create an air of majesty at London's Regent's Park. Other city parks include St. James, Green, Holland, and Greenwich.

Theatre is deeply rooted in the London community. BUT, did you know virtually all Las Vegas Hotels have 2- 3 levels of room quality (or options)? Now, we mean even many of the five star, "big ones" many of these are just plain substandard rooms, maybe with a nice view of the air conditioning system! (This actually happened to me personally, and was it Loud!)

Things like older bed mattresses, no safes, old decorating, long walks to the casino, restraunts, shows, or even a taxi. Did you know there are monorail trains running right behind some of the rooms? How about a roller coaster right outside your window? And lots more. Just remember "cheapest" is just that. Ask at the front desk at check-in exactly where your room is, look at it before signing in if possible.

Why book your Hotel first? Las Vegas is booked up an average of 94% year round, so plan ahead (at least 30+ days is recommended) to get the exact days you want, where you want, room quality you want. Plus, usually it's less expensive to book well in advance. Did you know that Sunday through Thursday is less expensive? When you get your selected Las Vegas Hotel booked, then you can book a flight to fit the days in and out to fit YOUR schedule.

Once you get your Las Vegas Hotel booked first. Then you can book the Las Vegas Shows that you want, when you want. Be sure to check to see if your particular show choice isn't "dark" on your selected days. Holidays are a good example of dark days.

Then book your Las Vegas Tour. (If you have never experienced the thrill of a Helicopter Ride at night over "Glitter Gulch and Downtown", or a daytime trip over the Boulder Dam and Grand Canyon this is something you will never forget!) It isn't as expensive as you might think! Check our tours links for prices and times.

Las Vegas Gambling Tips:
Gambling is the lifeblood of Las Vegas. You didn't really think those billion dollar hotels were built by "winners" did you? Set a daily budget for gambling and stick to it! You do have a good chance at winning. Hundreds if not thousands of "Hand Pay Jackpots" are paid every day. Be careful though, those chips, tokens and ticket-in/ticket-out seem too much like "play money" they are not they are your real money! Stick to your budget! Did I say that already?

Get a "players card" everywhere you go and use it, or if you are a "table player" ask the pit boss to "rank" or "rate" you. They will track your play and comp you accordingly with all kinds of free stuff. Such as meals, rooms, clothing, limos, gift shop points and even cash. These really help put the odds in your favor.

Las Vegas Security:
Ladies, bring or buy a small purse with a neck strap or waste pouch, or fanny pack, something that is comfortable enough to keep on your person all the time. Never ever set your purse on the floor or next to a machine, or on a stool next to you. This is a magnet for thieves! Keep that strap around your neck.

Most thieves work in pairs, one to distract you, the other to snag your purse. Just a couple types of distractions they use are: one will drop a coin or dollar bill or two near you on the floor and ask you "is that your cash on the floor?" while the other grabs your stuff, or overly talkative "players" will sit down next to you and jabber to get your attention, while their partner grabs your stuff, or hits the payout button and walks away with your ticket. Believe me. This does happen. They are very slick and fast, so just be aware.

The Security at all Hotels and Casinos is excellent. With all those thousands of cameras (Eyes in the sky) every inch of the casino is being taped continuously. (Did you know that Nevada law requires casinos to have this level of security?) It is for your protection as well as the Hotel/Casino.

Follow these Las Vegas Travel Tips and they will make your Las Vegas Vacation a lifetime memory.

http://www.lasvegas-discount.com Copyright 2002-2007 DEN Publishing Co. With an elevation of 7004 feet and a vertical drop of 3102 feet, Crystal Mountain actually sits below Mount Rainier, which has a top elevation of 14,408 feet. Between the months of November and April, several feet of fresh powder falls on Crystal Mountain, due to the cold Cascade storms common to the area.

This is rough terrain, and there is little offered to beginners as far as the ease of the trails go. But lessons are available, as well as rentals for ski's and other equipment. At Crystal Mountain, there are more than 2300 acres and fifty trails, making this the largest ski area in the state of Washington. There are ten lifts available: 2 high speed six passenger lifts, 2 high speed quads, 2 triple chairs, 3 double chairs, and 1 children's surface lift.

The season runs from the middle of November to the middle of April, when the most snow fall is experienced. There are several places to choose for lodging, meals, and nightly entertainment, but the biggest attraction is the skiing, of course.

The Crystal Mountain Express Buss service runs on weekends from the middle of December to the middle of March. You will be picked up from your lodge and dropped off at the base plaza - where you can begin a full day of fun on the slopes. After a day of skiing, you should definitely head over to East Peak Massage & Fitness to take advantage of the hot tub, sauna, showers, and even the game room. Massages are also available, with a reservation.

If your kids aren't quite ready for the black diamond trails - but you are - you can register them in the Kid's Club. The Kid's Club is open from 8am to 4pm each day for children aged four to eleven years old. The kid's aged 4 - 11 will be supervised while they ski on a 'kid appropriate' slope, and snowboarding is also available for children aged 7 - 11 years old. Your child will have fun, while being supervised and taught.

The cost of the care includes a four hour lesson, a lift ticket, lunch, and supervision. Rental equipment is available for the kids for an additional fee.

Everyone has fun at Crystal Mountain. It is a great place for a family vacation, but again, the slopes are more for intermediate skiers and expert skiers - although beginners will have fun as well. Just use good sense, and avoid trails that you don't feel like your ready for.

About the Author
Published by Daves-InfoRama, Blog 4 Dollars and Learn About Skiing

Exclusive offers for Hyatt Gold Passport members.

Carribean Travel Tips

Carribean Travel Tip People have been taking Caribbean travel vacations since the colonial times. Today, millions of U.S. citizens visit the islands each year to experience the tropical extravaganza that a Caribbean travel usually has in store for all its visitors. Below are some Caribbean travel tips to help you get the most out of your tropical excursion:

Get an early start
If there's anything you absolutely must do when you go on a Caribbean vacation that is to start early. There are a lot of things you need to take care of. Trip planning can be a tough nut to crack. Often, a passport may be required before you can enter the country you are planning to travel. One Caribbean travel tip you ought to consider is to prepare all your travel documents as early as now. Choose an island.

Culture-shock
That is bound to happen if you don't do your research beforehand. One thing you should remember about the Caribbean is that it has a culture that is as widely diverse as its people. So take this Caribbean travel tip: read up on the culture and people for the places you will travel.

Another thing, as you travel, keep abreast of local news coverage. If you are in an area experiencing civil unrest or a natural disaster, or if you are going to a place where communications is poor, register with the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate for your own safety.

Registration at the State Department
TravelRegistration.state.gov website takes only a few minutes, and certainly invaluable in case of emergency. In addition, you can also get up to date Caribbean travel tips and information on any country in the world by obtaining the Department of State's Consular Information Sheet. Entry.

Every island in the Caribbean has its own entry requirements. That is why your first Caribbean travel tip is to prepare all your documents before you leave home. If you can show proof that you are a U.S. citizen and a return or onward ticket, most countries will allow you to visit for up to two or three months.

Take this as both a Caribbean travel tip and caution: There are countries in the Caribbean with areas infected with yellow fever. If you come from any of these areas, you may be required to have a certificate of vaccination against yellow fever. Also, some airports may require departure tax of up to $25. Return.

There are some Caribbean countries that require only your birth certificate as an entry requirement. However, this should be reason for you to slack off on your travel documents. Remember that U.S. Immigration requires that you document both your U.S. citizenship and identity. Take this Caribbean travel tip and make sure you can return to the United States with both these documents.

But what is the best document that can prove your U.S. citizenship? The best proof is a valid U.S. passport. However, other travelers give these Caribbean travel tips as documents you can use besides that to prove U.S. citizenship:

Expired U.S. passport Certified copy of birth certificate Certificate of Naturalization Certificate of Citizenship Report of Birth Abroad of a U.S. Citizen http://www.runurl.com/xx.php?4rn

About the Author
More information can be found at http://holidayinnexpress.blogspot.com/

Is Thailand A Safe Place To Visit?

On September 19th, the Thai military overthrew Prime Minister Taksin Shinawatra while he was on an official visit to the United Nations. The coup was quick, bloodless and long overdue. The new government is being installed and democracy will prevail.

So, should you cancel your travel plans to Thailand? Absolutely not. Thailand is still a great place to visit and if you hadn't seen the coup on TV, you would never have known it happened.
Life goes on in the Land of Smiles with the only difference being a new Prime Minister being installed. General Surayud was appointed the new PM, has selected his cabinet and restored calm to the country. Free elections will commence next year.

Apart from the newly appointed government, nothing has changed in Thailand. You can still go shopping, dine in some great restaurants and ride elephants. The Thai people will still welcome you with open arms, smile all day long and treat you to the best vacation you have ever had.

In addition, you will get to see the most spectacular airport in all of Asia. Suvarnabhumi Airport opened on September 28th and is a sight to behold. It is located 50 kilometers south of the "old airport" - Don Muang. So, if you are planning on visiting Pattaya, your ride from the airport to Pattaya should be approximately 30 - 45 minutes faster.

If you have plans to visit Bangkok or any of the other cities in Thailand, there is no need to cancel. If you have never been, now is a good time to go.

Exercise the normal cautions you would on any trip to a foreign country. Register with the state department or your local embassy. Don't flash your money or jewelry, use the buddy system, and be aware of your surroundings. Be safe and have a great vacation.

About the Author
Larry Westfall is the owner of My Thai Links - One of the largest collections of Thai web sites on the Internet - over 10,000 Thai Links.

Attractions In Calpe Spain

Calpe is one of the more popular resorts on the northern Costa Blanca. The city is located north of Altea and south of Denia. It is an ideal spot for a vacation along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea.

The city started out as a fishing village. In addition to tourism, fishing remains a major industry in the town. As a result, fresh seafood that arrives in the port is regularly served on menus in restaurants throughout the city.

The name Calpe means steep, rugged hill made of rock.

Most visitors travel into the area through the Alicante airport, which is located about 60 kilometres from the city. The Valencia airport is located about 105 kilometres from Calpe. Buses are available from both these airports to the city. If you prefer to have a vehicle, car hire companies operate at both airports for convenient car rentals.

Attractions in Calpe
One of the main attractions in the town is the rock formation that gives the city its name. The Penon de Ifach is a large, craggy rock formation. This is also the smallest natural park in the country. It is protected due to the many varieties of vegetation and indigenous birds that are located near the rock. This formation is very popular among rock climbers. There is a spectacular view of the Costa Blanca from the top of the formation.

The Old Town area is at the center of the city. This area is home to an Arts and Crafts fair every day in the summer months, except Mondays. There are a variety of local merchants and crafts people offering goods for sale here.

The original town walls are located near the original Moorish quarter in the old town area. These walls were used to defend the village against invasions from pirates many years ago. Also in this area are the remains of an ancient Roman villa. This is historical evidence of the Roman heritage of the city.

The city has a vibrant night life, particularly in the months of June through September. You will find a variety of live entertainment to enjoy. In addition, there are art exhibitions and a variety of workshops to attend.

If you rent a car for your vacation, you can enjoy many nearby attractions during your stay. The Jalon Valley is located about fifteen kilometres from the city. This is also known as the valley of wine. The Jalon valley is famous for a variety of wines. A market in the area sells wine by the liter, as well as food and clothing from local merchants.

Also close to Calpe is the city of Benidorm. This large city is a major tourist attraction. Benidorm is home to a few theme parks, a vibrant night life and many other attractions. Renting a car is the best way to explore Benidorm and the surrounding areas during your stay on the Costa Blanca.

Where to Stay in Calpe
There are a variety of options for accommodations during your holiday in this city. Resort hotels are located right near the beach areas. These hotels offer luxury and a variety of amenities. Rooms tend to book quickly in the summer. If you plan to stay in a resort hotel, book your reservation well in advance of your trip.

There are several less expensive options in the city. Economical hostels are available and offer a nice place to stay. However, you can expect less luxury and fewer amenities than you will find at the larger hotels.

Many people come to the area to climb the rock formation that gives the city its name. Climbers often choose to stay at one of the camping areas that are located near the formation. These are very popular with climbers and other people wanting to enjoy an outdoor experience in nature.
If you prefer more privacy, consider renting a property for your vacation.

There are many apartments and condos available for rent. Many are located near the beach areas. If you are staying for a longer period of time, this can be less expensive than the larger hotels. In addition, a rental offers a more private place to stay and relax.

About the Author
Focusing on the topic of Alicante, Kenneth Morris publishes for the most part for www.alicante-spain.com . It is much easier to see the sights in this manner rather than having to navigate foreign streets and waste precious time looking for a place to park the car.

Many cruise lines offer guides tours of Europe's cities while the ship is docked, or passengers are free to explore on their own if they so desire. Before setting out on your cruise to Europe, it is often helpful to get a copy of the itinerary and decide in advance what places you would most like to visit when not on board the cruise ship.

Since the cruise ship will normally only dock for about 10 hours in each city that it stops in, you will have a limited amount of time for discovering Europe's cities. When cruising to Europe, you may have the chance to explore wonderful places such as Copenhagen, Bergen, Helsinki, Oslo and Stockholm.

Bergen is a great place to visit, and will afford the traveler a chance to sample regional cuisine, take in the historical sights as well as enjoy the natural assets that Bergen has to offer. Bergen's locals are quite friendly, and are very accommodating to tourists.

Helsinki is enjoyed by those travelers who have a love for art and museums, and allows the opportunity to see some very beautiful architecture that is evident in many of the cities historical buildings and cathedrals. Helsinki is surrounded by the Baltic Sea, which makes for a great beach side trip during the warmer months.

Oslo is a diverse city that offers a variety of things to do and see, and since the heart of the city is a mere ten minute walk from the pier, renting a car is not necessary; all of Oslo's sights can be traveled to on foot. There are guided nature hikes, boat tours, the famous Ski Tower, art museums and the renowned Medieval Quarter.

The Medieval Quarter is where the "old" Oslo can be found, and is home to ancient castles and fortresses. When hunger calls, there is a variety of choices, as restaurants abound here, from simple cafes to elegant dining halls.

The only down side to cruising to Europe rather than by other means of travel, is that you are less likely to be able to interact with the locals. Since you will be traveling on board a ship, the other passengers will be the ones you are more likely to have the chance to socialize with. Other than this, Europe is a great place to travel to, and a cruise will allow you to travel in comfort, as well as offering many amenities that aren't available on trains and planes!

If you decide to cruise to Europe, realize that it will be impossible to see everything there is to see. Make a note of those places that you truly enjoyed and wish to see more of, and then plan a return trip that will afford you more time in that particular area.

About the Author
Read more from this author at: ritzycruises.com

India: The Land of Great Wonders

India, the land of great wonders is one of the ancient civilizations of the world. Watch calypso and youth bands decorate the night, while streets are blocked from regular traffic. Enjoy face painting and watch the tall Mocko Jumbies, elaborately costumed characters on stilts, dancing and parading down the streets.

Indoors, you'll find the thrill of casinos, duty-free shopping and fine dining. Island cuisine is influenced by St. Croix's oldest crops, from okra to cabbage and corn. Your Caribbean travel destinations include:

Antigua and Barbuda, Haiti, Aruba, Jamaica, Bahamas, Martinique, Barbados, Puerto Rico, Cayman Islands, St. Kitts and Nevis, Cuba, St. Lucia, Dominica, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada, Turks & Caicos Islands, Guadeloupe or Virgin Islands.

Each destination offers its own experiences and exotic ambiance. Use this guide to learn about the Caribbean and what you need to know before you disembark on your trip.

Caribbean Weather
Most people travel to the Caribbean because of the region's amazing weather. Sunny with a steady breeze, the Caribbean provides ideal weather for hours of sunbathing and frolicking in the ocean. All islands, for the most part, offer the same climate with slight variations in weather patterns here and there (and the occasional tropical rainfall), making any island you select an ideal destination for your tropical paradise.

However, the majority of the Caribbean is within a hurricane belt. This means that during certain times of the year, the Caribbean can be hit by hurricanes. The official hurricane season in the Caribbean is June 1st to November 30th with August to October being peak months. Now even though the hurricane season is smack dab in the middle of prime summer vacation time, you need not worry.

With technology today and weather tracking, it's now possible to identify when a hurricane or major storm will hit. So, if you're planning a Caribbean travel trip, find out what the current hurricane season is like and how the island of choice will fair during it.

Southern islands such as Barbados and Aruba, on the other hand, lie outside of the Caribbean hurricane belt and almost never fall victim to hurricanes. If you don't want to worry about planning your Caribbean trip around the hurricane season, the southern islands of the Caribbean are the best way to go.

Caribbean Activities
Each Caribbean destination has its own terrain and landscape, providing its own unique activities. Almost all destinations have amazing beaches, but some also have tropical rain forests and mountains. Puerto Rico, for example, has the only rainforest that's part of the U.S. National Parks system. Aruba, on the other hand, is one of the only islands that offer a non-tropical environment, offering dryer surroundings.

So, depending on your Caribbean travel destination, your activities are limited to the natural makeup of the island. But in general, your activities will include sunbathing, playing in the ocean, nature hikes through the lush terrain (if available), trips into town to purchase the local merchandise, and experiencing the island nightlife.

Caribbean travel destinations are the key to a tropical getaway. With many island destinations to choose from, all offering optimal weather and relaxing activities, the Caribbean is definitely a destination to put on your list of places to visit.

About the Author
cFares is the first choice thousands of knowledgeable travelers are using right now to save hundreds of dollars on airfare. Few people realize exactly how to get the best rates when trying to book a flight, and they often lose money by not planning properly.

For that reason, we've written this article to help inform you about exactly what you should do and what you should not do when you are planning to take a trip on an airplane.

As soon as you've decided where you want to go, it is of utmost importance to make the plane reservations as soon as possible. The best discounts for airlines are usually given to those who book more than 21 days in advance of the flight.

To get a good rate, ensure that your trip involves a Saturday night stay at your destination. Ensure that your flight dates are during the week to help limit the costs of flying.

It's usually best to consult the internet when looking for tickets. There are several airline search engines available that scour airline rates for the best possible air fare prices.

If the time in which you take the vacation is flexible, it's best to take the trip in the off-season. Also, if you are flexible about when you want the plane to depart from the airport, you can save a good amount of money. Flights that leave very early in the morning and those that leave in the late evening are the fares that are most likely to be unfilled and therefore, cheaper.

If you're taking a long trip and it doesn't seem like the rate is as low as it could be, consider trying to buy two round-trip flights with a midpoint in your destination. For example, if traveling from New York to California, check if there's any way to take a flight from New York to a mid-point such as Nebraska, and then another flight from Nebraska to New York. This can often result in big savings!

When booking the flight with a person, ask them if the rate that they are offering you is the best rate for the flight. It never hurts to ask, and sometimes they may offer you a different option for a lesser price.

If you're staying in a hotel for your vacation, check if there is a travel plan package offered that will help lower your fees on both airfare and the hotel. Many hotels and airlines operate in tandem to offer good deals to customers that book with both of them.

About the Author
Jonathon Hardcastle writes articles on many topics including Travel, Outdoors, and Games

Save $100 off Last Minute Deal Package to the Caribbean

Savanna Vacation

Are you planning a vacation in the near future? More American families spend christmas away from home each year. Spending time with your family is important, and vacations are becoming more popular all the time. If you have your heart set on giving your family a great holiday vacation, read on to learn the best places for just such an activity.

The North Pole
The North Pole - in New York that is. The Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York, North Pole is one of the most magical places to visit during your Christmas vacation. Perfect for kids and kids at heart, North Pole is open for five weekends prior to Christmas during November and December. Visitors are offered Christmas vacation packages that include meals, lodging, and admission to Santas workshop. Santas Village features shops where you can find the perfect souvenir from your Christmas vacation. There is often live music to keep the crowds entertained and you and your family can enjoy lots of live shows and performances.

Alaska
If the real North Pole seems a bit far, but youre itching for the real thing, why not try a vacation in Alaska? There are speciality Alaska cruises available that will make your family giddy, pampered, and happy beyond measure. The Alaskan North Pole Christmas vacation includes hotel accommodations in nearby Fairbanks and at the Chena Hot Springs Resort. There is also lodging available at the Santaland RV Park.

Pennsylvania
A word to the wise about Pennsylvania - as beautiful as it may be there is a smog warning in effect so bringing those with severe asthma along would seem to be an unwise choice. Pennsylvania is the home of chocolate company Hershey's. Over one million christmas lights are put on display and the staff constructs elaborate animated displays for children.

Disney
Although some say it is overdone, a disney vacation might be just the thing for the kids, and the holidays are the perfect time. Keep in mind that vacation packages get booked well in advance, so you will want to make plans far ahead of the intended date. Disney puts on special christmas shows in the parks and along their rides. Giant christmas trees are put up and the general motif is a mid-70's era.

About the Author
For more great holiday travel related articles and resources check out http://travelcomplete.info

Comfort Suites® is for business and leisure travelers looking for oversized rooms and mid-priced rates.

Five Romantic Vacation Ideas

What makes a vacation romantic? Let's start with examples before definitions. Here are a few romantic vacation ideas.

An ocean cruise is certainly a classic romantic vacation. Why not escape it all - even the sight of land. Isolated together out at sea, in the comfort of a cruise ship - that can be very romantic. There are a couple things to consider, though, if you want to keep the romance going.

First, thoroughly investigate and talk about your options. Perhaps you both were assuming the other wanted a traditional warm-water cruise, when in reality you both would love to watch whales and glaciers on an Alaskan cruise. It's not just about the many possible destinations, either. There are different styles of cruises, from pure sightseeing ones to more active ones to "party boats." Be sure the cruise has activities that you'll enjoy participating in together.

You also need to be sure you budget enough so money worries don't steal the romance from the vacation. Think about what you'll be doing, both on and off the ship. It isn't romantic to run out of money on a vacation, and cruise ship bars are notoriously expensive.

Romantic vacations might include train rides, if you both like to relax and take in the scenery. The Royal Gorge Train, here in Canon City, Colorado, for example, takes you for a stunning ride through the gorge and along the Arkansas river. The dining cars serve great meals and the windows on some cars co overhead, so you can easily take in the view above.

Budget Romantic Vacation Ideas
The sun, sand, and the sound of the waves can relax you and take away the stress and worry of "everyday life," but beach vacations can get pricey. If money is tight, you can do like we did in northern Florida. We camped in our conversion van at a state campground on the beach. Our days were spent collecting shells together, swimming, and flying a kite. One evening we took our chairs down by the water to watch the sunset. The beaches of the Great Lakes are another great place for a romantic vacation, and are even more affordable.

Another low-cost romantic vacation idea is to rent the little cabins that can be found in many state parks. Wilderness State Park in northern Michigan, for example, has cabins that are closer to the beach, and those that require you to hike into the woods a few miles. They are reasonable, and you can pack in good food and a bottle of wine to add to the romance.

It can be very affordable and romantic to spend some time together in a small town that is surrounded by beautiful scenery. Some of our favorites include Lone Pine, California, Anaconda, Montana, Silverton, Colorado, and Marquette, Michigan. Try wandering the streets of walkable small towns, exploring the woods and fields around them, eating in local cafes and going to classic small-town theaters. As nearly all of the beaches are public, access is a breeze. Furthermore, several Caribbean beaches have change and shower facilities, shade huts and water sport equipment provided by Aruba resorts and hotels.

For travelers in search of more privacy, a number of public beaches offer dazzling blue water and immaculate sand without the crowds.

While most of Aruba's best beaches are concentrated on the southwestern coast, a number of less frequented beaches on the eastern shores offer unique opportunities for families, surfers and sightseers.

Western Aruba
Arashi, Boca Catalina and Malmok Beaches near the California Lighthouse at the northwestern tip of the island, are all part of the Arashi Underwater Park. Calm water, gentle currents, shallow reefs, and outstanding visibility make them popular swimming and snorkeling sites. Snorkelers and swimmers can glimpse large elk horn coral, sea sponges and schools of colorful fish just six feet below the water's surface.

Hadikurari Beach, directly south of Malmok Beach, is well known for its fantastic windsurfing. The Hi-Winds Pro-Am Windsurfing Competition is held here each June, but the vibrant sails and accomplished surfers entertain spectators year-round. Also known as fishermen's huts, numerous shade huts and picnic tables are available for public use at Hadikurari.

Perhaps Aruba's most famous and frequented beach, Palm Beach features miles of powdery, freshly raked sand, excellent swimming conditions, pristine water and numerous watersport activities. Palm Beach is also one of the best-equipped and serviced beaches on the island; public changing areas and refreshment stands are readily available. What's more, many of the island's finest resorts and hotels overlook the popular beach, granting a short walk to paradise for many travelers. Additionally, many resorts offer watersports equipment, shade huts and lounge chairs for their guests.

Directly south of Palm Beach behind a rocky outcropping lies Eagle Beach. With even more clean sand and luminous water than Palm Beach and fewer high-rise resorts, Eagle Beach is Palm's less-crowded cousin. Though watersports and beach activities are still abundant here, Eagle Beach remains a local favorite and an ideal picnic spot.

Continuing south from Eagle Beach, the island's widest stretch of unspoiled sand rests at Manchebo Beach. As the land juts out further into the Caribbean Sea at Punto Brabo, the surf here is much ber than at Eagle Beach. Motorized watersports are not permitted at Manchebo, allowing this beach to retain a sense of tropical seclusion. As the coastline again turns inward south of Manchebo, the typically overlooked Druif and Surfside Beaches offer excellent swimming conditions.

Sonesta Island, a 40-acre private tropical retreat with spectacular white sand beaches, secluded coves and protected swimming areas, has long been a tourist favorite. Here, travelers can rest in hammocks under shady palm trees or engage in snorkeling, scuba diving or kayaking.

Eastern Aruba
As the name might imply, Baby Beach is known as Aruba's premier family beach, highlighted by its placid turquoise waters and endless sand. Located at the southeastern end of the island in the area known as Seroe Colorado, the calm lagoon surrounding the beach is also ideal for swimming and snorkeling.

Like so many other beaches in Aruba, Rodgers Beach features plush sand and excellent swimming in reef-protected waters. Though the surf at Rodgers is slightly more robust than at Baby Beach, recreation is still possible for the whole family. Lastly, as one of the few accessible beaches on Aruba's windward side, Dos Playa is a smaller white sand beach surrounded by an imposing, rocky coastline. For those in search of waves for a challenging surfing experience, Dos Playa is certainly the beach of choice.

About the Author
This article was written by Justin Burch. Several months back, China announced the opening of the exclusive Qinghai-Tibet Railway.

This railway is one of a kind, like no other in the world. Besides being an engineering feat, it gives the avid traveler a means to reach Tibet via an eye-catching, high altitude, luxurious transit system.

The railroad is first in a number of classes including the highest altitude railroad. A portion of it began as early as 1984, with the last segment of the railway finished just months ago.
While your zipping along the frozen plateau at estimated speeds in excess of 100 km/hour-faster on solid ground, you can sit back and take in the gorgeous landscape.

The Chinese government has spent over 180 million on conserving the environment along the railway. In fact, it has created 33 special passageways for endangered species. With any luck, you may even get a chance to see the rare Tibetan antelope.

But, it is not only what you'll see while you're moving along the "roof of the world", but it is the way you can do it that is unique. With your choice of a regular hard seat or hard or soft sleepers-one can't help be rested after their journey. The cabins are spacious, comfortable and have porters accessible throughout the train.

The trains also come equipped with state of the art double oxygen systems-one pumping air through the cabins, while each guest has her own at her disposal in case the altitude changes should have an affect. The windows have double glass-which filter out the sun rays should you be near a window.

When it comes to dining, the train also offers tempty feasts. Besides a variety of snacks and beverages, the train service provides delicious delicacies to wet the palate of many a traveler. You can't help but relax, have a good meal, and enjoy the view while traveling to the roof of the world.

Without a doubt, it is currently the best way to get to Tibet from its neighboring regions. It's fast, convenient, and affordable. What better way to travel through the clouds, than to board one of the luxurious new trains bound for the Heavenly Land-Tibet.

About the Author
Robert Danko is an avid enthusiast of Asian culture. To those who visit for the first time, it is awash with new experiences and surprises. To those who are returning, it is welcoming, immediately memorable and long-anticipated. Whether you are a new visitor or an old hand, here are some of the best reasons to visit Ireland.

1. Variety
Ireland has a tremendous variety of just about everything, and all of it is reasonably accessible, although you may have to hike a while to find the remotest of scenery. If you're looking for nightlife, then visit Dublin - now well-established as a cultural and entertainment hotspot, or try other towns such as Cork or Galway, which also know how to entertain visitors. Just a short drive down the coast from Dublin though, and you can be in the middle of a remote and beautiful landscape where the only nightlife is in the wild - and mostly unseen. This variety extends to the food, the activities, the landscape and the coastline, which is why Ireland is best visited several times.

2. Pace
Outside the major economic areas, the pace of life in Ireland slows considerably. There's no reason to rush and normal expectations of opening hours, service and time aren't always mirrored in rural Irish communities. This slowing of the pace of life is one of the most attractive things about visiting Ireland and whilst it might take a couple of days to adjust, you'll be amazed at how much more relaxed you feel on your return home - and how unnecessarily fast the world seems around you!

3. Culture
Ireland has a rich culture, elements of which have been successfully exported around the world with those Irish men and women that have emigrated to other countries. Only in Ireland, however, do you get a true flavour of the musical, literary and spoken culture that still has a dominant place in the country.

4. Welcome
Tourism is a major part of the Irish economy and its people are natural hosts. Whilst you can travel independently, arrange your own accommodation and keep to yourself if you choose, you'll find a warm welcome wherever you go, and children are particularly loved, making Ireland an ideal holiday destination for families.

5. Activities
There's no shortage of things to do (or not to do) in Ireland. From championship golf to deep sea fishing; bird watching to windsurfing; playing on the beach to visiting historical monuments, there's something for all tastes and all ages. Thrill seeker or beach comber, Ireland has what you're looking for.

About the Author
The Irish Riviera is a dedicated to promoting the south coast of Ireland, helping you to find accommodation, travel and things to see and do. Bangkok has a strange nature of evoking extreme sense of likes and dislikes amongst visitors. A few seem to loathe it while many others swear that it is the most wonderful, fascinating and exciting places on earth.

Actually, Bangkok tends to be what a particular visitor wants it to be. Bangkok is a picture post-card haven with beautiful pagodas, pagodas and some of the world's finest hotels. Bangkok's renowned for it's nightlife in the Orient with an opportunity to savor some of world's most unique cuisines. Bangkok is a favorite and best shopping destination in South East Asia.

Bangkok inhabitants are known as Thais and their friendly ways would flatter the snootiest traveler. Bangkok is all in all, a load of fun and games and a great way to enjoy a civilized vacation. Thailand's history emerges from the Bronze Age, whereas Bangkok, the capital is a young city founded in 1782. With a population of around 6 million, 50% of them are under 30. Bangkok lies on the banks of the river "Chao Phraya", a wonderful working waterway full of sampans, wide variety of boats and rice barges.

Bangkok is a beautiful mix of the old and the new, the modern and the ancient evident from its skyline that comprises of Buddhist temples (wats), luxury hotels, high-rise office buildings and shopping malls making it a kaleidoscope.

Under the thin veneer of new found Western influence you will find that the Thais are not devoid of traditional values. The sights of ubiquitous street food sellers, monks on morning begging rounds and women stringing jasmine blossoms on thread near wats will display the cultural heritage of Thailand that is not lost in the arc lights of modernity.

Major Attractions In Bankok
Bangkok is packed with more attractions per square mile than any other city in the world. Despite the crowds, the architecture and the attractions are worth the effort to travel and see. On the top of the list would be Wat Phra Khao and the Grand Palace for sightseeing for half a day. This can include the National Museum and the Wat Pho.

Chinatown, Bangkok's major attractions has a unique traditional life untouched by modern civilization and could be fascinating. Historical sites like Rattanakosin Island (central point when Bangkok was founded) are also worth visiting. The main symbolic places of Bangkok are Wat Arun on the Chao Phraya River.

Cross the Chao Phraya to reach Thonburi and you can tour the klongs to appreciate the heritage and culture of the country of Thailand. The Vimanmek Palace, restored by Queen Sirikit, made of golden teak emphasizes the exquisite taste and oriental splendor of ancient Thai royal life.

Touring Around Bankok
The easier way to explore the country would be put up base in Bangkok and explore the region by using the interesting and unusual daytrips.

Ayutthaya & Bang Pa-In: This probably is the most popular day trip from Bangkok and takes you to visit the Ayutthaya (A-you-ta-ya), the previous and old capital of Thailand, about 50 miles north of Bangkok, the current capital. Ayutthaya has served as the second capital of the Kingdom of Siam for over 400 years.

Travellers in the past have described the glittering palaces, temples and Buddhist images depicting it as one of the most beautiful cities on the planet. In an unfortunate event the Burmese burned the glories of this city in 1767. In Ayutthaya, you could hire a tuk tuk along with an English-speaking guide to take you around the celebrated temples (cost could be in the range of 250 bahts). You can also hire a long-tail boat for cruising the 12-mile Chao Phraya River trip that ends at the king's summer palace at Bang Pa-In (300 bahts).

Many such trips are available to be taken. Bangkok never ceases to amaze and so giving an approximate time frame of the trip becomes difficult. You could get there, relax, and see for yourself what Bangkok has to offer. May be you could go back when you have more time, or to see the rest of it. With an entire crew to service your every whim and need, a cruise is a fantastic way to enjoy yourself and take in the surrounding scenery.

Galapagos Island Cruises are great because they not only let you have a stress-free vacation, but they also make sure that you get the opportunity to see all that this fascinating region has to offer.

Sail around the Galapagos either by boat, yacht or cruise ship to have a truly memorable time. Cruises can last anywhere from 3 days to 8 weeks. However, most people prefer an 8-day trip. The best way to see the Galapagos as most of the islands are scattered far apart, a cruise also give people the opportunity to visit less known but equally interesting islands like Isla Fernandina or Isla Isabela.

An island cruise lets you also enjoy a variety of activities such as scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, swimming, hiking, trekking and wildlife watching. Galapagos cruises usually stop at each island for day or half day trips, so that tourists can see what each special island has to offer.
Arrange for your own personal cruise trip or take a pre-arranged tour. A pre-arranged tour means that you will probably travel with a group of around 20 people, whereas a personal cruise would let you travel by yourself or with your family.

Pre-arranged tours are very effective and economical as well, with many people opting for this kind of an affordable vacation package. A personal cruise is quite expensive, but if you have the budget then it is well worth it, as you get to enjoy your vacation at your own pace. Customized cruises let you take in not just the major attractions, but give you the opportunity to visit some key yet smaller islands.

There are various types of Galapagos Island cruises that you can enjoy. You can also arrange them locally for a more reasonable price, or you can have them arranged through your travel agent to make sure that you have a confirmed cruise booking. Finding cruises in August and around Christmas is quite hard, so make sure that you avoid these times at all costs as it is peak tourist season and these tiny islands can get quite bustling.

About the Author
For a more in-depth view of the Galapagos Islands, visit www.GoVisitGalapagos.com. It is very important to take your pets well being and safety into consideration.

I have several great tips to help you get through the challenge of traveling with your pet.
If the pet is to be accompanying you on an airplane, consider calling several airlines and check if you're particular pet would be perhaps allowed to ride in the passengers' compartment, with you. Many airlines are letting certain sized dogs and cats do just that. Small pets are allowed to sit at your feet in their carriers. Other airlines will allow you to purchase a seat for the pet carrier.

One way or the other, you will need a carrier for your pet. When choosing a carrier, there are a few things to consider. For safety it is recommenced to choose a carrier that your dog can just stand up in, and be able to turn around in. This size carrier promotes the dog to lie down and rest and is much safer in case of sudden unpredicted flight shift changes. That could cause the dog to be hurt if tossed into the sides of the carrier with a greater force due to it being to spacious.

If your dog has a hyperactive personality and you are concerned that the pet may be very hyperactive and upset due to travel, speak to your veterinarian in regards to possibly prescribing a mild tranquillizer for the flight.

Never, let me repeat never attempt to medicate your animal without first having talked to its veterinarian. This practice is dangerous.

It is wise to feed your dog about 3-4 hours prior to travel on an airplane. This gives the dog a better chance of not experiencing nausea or vomiting. Make sure to give the dog ampul time to void before heading to the airport, and before putting the pet in the carrier, for the flight. Offer a small mount of water before putting the dog in the carrier.

It is also smart to book your flight in the morning hours. Many airlines have strict rules that pets cannot travel in cargo if the temperature is above 85 degrees. With an early flight as a rule this won't be a problem.

When packing your dogs supplies, pack the food and goodies that they are accustom. If you are traveling to a destination that you might have a fear of the water you will consume? Make sure you consider the water your pet will consume. You won't want your pet to develop digestion problems away from home. Pack one of the pet's toys, and if they have a favorite blanket, I would bring it along too.

When taking your pet outside, make sure they are leashed at all times. Pets (especially dogs) are creatures of habit, and could become lost in a strange environment.

Have a recent picture of your pet; in the case the pet becomes lost. Last but not least. Have a dog tag made before leaving home. The tag should have where you are staying on your trip. Add this tag with his excising tag.

This is beneficial, just in case you have not been able to locate your pet by the time you have to return home .At some point someone may find your beloved pet, and be able to locate you, with the good news.

About the Author
Sharon Stajda is a proud owner of a Westie. Relax on the beach? Ride a 120 foot high roller-coaster at 70 MPH? Hand-glide from the mountaintops? Kick back on the boat waiting for the fish to bite? Swim with sharks? Lounge on a "floatie"? Well, whether you like to relax or you are a dare-devil, there are hundreds of amazing places for all of these activities!

Are you looking for the perfect beach? Raised in Florida, I understand great beaches...and all of them are different. If you are looking for the whitest sand, visit the panhandle of Florida around Destin, Seaside, Panama City or Ft. Walton Beach.

If you want catch some waves, your best bet will be the east coast cities of Cocoa Beach or Daytona Beach. Looking for peace, quiet and a good cocktail, then the southwest coast cities of Naples or Ft. Myers might be in order. Want to party until the wee hours of the morning, then Miami or Ft. Lauderdale is the place to go...but I warn you, bring you shades because walking out of the bar at 6am when the sun is shining can be a frightening experience!

Finally, you just can't beat the Florida Keys if you want all of the above. And, if you are looking for amazing beaches outside of Florida, it's hard to go wrong with Southern California anywhere from San Diego all the way up to Malibu.

However, let's not be shortsighted and think that all the best beaches in the world are you the U.S. If you have been to the Caribbean, you will see why visitors to all of these islands tend to go back at least every few years. Amazing views and lazy days, ethnic food and fun shopping experiences are what make up all of the "St." islands, Jamaica and the Bahamas. I don't even have time to talk about the Mediterranean Sea and all of its locales.

Looking for a deeper glimpse into history? You might want to visit the Greek Isles or Italy. Venice, Florence, Naples and Rome are steeped in history and amazing places to visit from today and from the Roman Empire 2000 years ago. The home of the 2004 summer Olympics, Athens has enough to keep you learning for a week, not to mention Corinth or Sparta.

Are you an avid Skier? We all know how amazing, breathtaking and fun the Colorado Rockies can be for ski vacations. There are almost too many ski vacation areas to pick from with resorts, vacation home rentals, hotels, long trails, steep hills - you name it, they have it. Breckenridge. Keystone. Beaver Creek. Silverthorne. The list goes on.

However, Colorado does not have the corner on the market for U.S. ski vacations. Utah, Idaho, Montana, Lake Tahoe all can be your dream skiing vacation! Want to travel just a few hours north via plane and you can visit Whistler. Just north of Vancouver in British Columbia, Whistler is home to some of the top rated ski resorts in all of North America. With resorts like Whistler/Blackcomb, you can explore 8,100 acres of skiable terrain on the two mountains, a huge 5,280 vertical drop, 12 high-speed quads, 3 gondolas and the most slopeside lodging.
Have you been to Africa lately? If you are like me, you probably haven't. It has been almost a decade since I last visited South Africa, but Kruger National Park is a site to see.

A Safari during the day is fun and safe for the family. You'll get to see an incredible amount of animals in their natural, unhindered habitat. However, for those thrill seekers, get on an open Jeep at night for a ride around the park...if you see some eyeballs glowing in the dark though, hold on tight because there is something about seeing a lion at night from only about 100 yards away! I almost needed a new pair of pants!

So, regardless of what you are looking for in a family vacation, planet Earth has it for you. It just takes a little planning and a little saving (sometimes a lot of saving) and you can go on the vacation of your dreams.

About the Author
Mr. Krueger has been in the travel industry 4 years and has advised thousands on travel ideas and marketing vacation home rentals and is President of TRN which operate (Vacation Home Rental) and (eVaca Vacation Rental).

Finding Family Travel Deals

Do you even remember the last vacation you enjoyed? Here's a short guide to getting around quickly and easily, from your arrival right up to your departure.

Arriving by air
Paris has two major airports - Orly and Charles de Gaulle. All the big airlines fly into these two airports. There's another airport called Beauvais, which is quite a bit further out of Paris. It's served mainly by budget airlines such as Ryanair. If you don't mind a rather long journey into Paris, it can be a good cheap way to fly to the city.

Charles de Gaulle airport is in a suburb to the north east of Paris called Roissy. It's about 23 kilometres from the city centre and it's well connected by public transport. The Roissyrail train line is part of the Réseau Express Regional (RER) system - a suburban train network. There are trains every 15 minutes from terminal two and terminal three, which take you to Gare du Nord. If you arrive at terminal one, a shuttle bus will take you to the Roissyrail station. If you prefer to take the bus, there's a Roissybus every 15 minutes from terminal one and terminal two. It terminates at the Opéra metro station in the centre of Paris.

Orly is a little closer to Paris - it's 13 kilometres south of the city centre. There's a bus/train connection called Orlyrail. You'll be taken by shuttle bus to the RER train station and from there it's a short journey to Gare d'Austerlitz. There are connections every 30 minutes. If you prefer just to take a bus right into the city centre, there are lots of other frequent shuttle services - Orlybus, Orlyval, Air France buses and Jetbus.

Arriving by train
The national and international train networks in continental Europe are excellent and often the most efficient way to get around, and the Eurostar from London is often the best way to get to Paris from Great Britain. There are six mainline train stations in Paris and all of them are linked to the métro system so it's easy to get around once you arrive in the city. Here's a guide to train arrivals in Paris:

Gare de l'Est - east France, Austria, Germany and eastern Europe Gare du Nord - north France and Germany, Eurostar, Belgium, Netherlands and Scandinavia Gare St Lazare - north France Gare de Lyon - south France, Switzerland, Italy and Greece Gare Montparnasse - south west France Gare d'Austerlitz - south France and Spain City transport.

Buses
Buses are a great way of seeing a lot of the city as you travel. There are bus stops everywhere, each of which has detailed information on what buses stop there, what route they take and their timetables. It's a very easy method of transport and is good to use in conjunction with the métro.

Métro
Paris is famed for its brilliant underground system with its iconic Art Nouveau station entrances. The Métropolitain (metro) makes city centre travel so simple. It runs about 21 hours per day and is replaced by an excellent system of nightbuses in the middle of the night, so you'll never get stuck. Don't be put off by the complex network of tunnels and lines - it's incredibly easy to find your way around as all the lines are colour coded and there are maps and signposts everywhere.

RER
The Réseau Express Régional is the suburban train system used mainly by commuters into and out of Paris. If you want to travel a little further out of town, it's the best way to go. The trains are fast and frequent.

About the Author
Audrey Akeman has resided in Paris for over 20 years. I jumped into a train in Garde Du Nor in Paris. Since I had no place reservation I had to search all over the train to find a seat. My luggage was to heave to take with me so I left it in the entrance of the train. After I while I found a seat in a compartment where several other young people were seated, Germans I think.

Well, we were sitting talking for quite a while and all of a sudden I felt something was missing. Right, I had to take a walk and look for my luggage. When I raised from my seat and headed toward the entrance where I left my luggage the conductor heralded that we had just passed the border of Belgium and I understood I had been without my luggage for quite a long time. When I arrived at the entrance where I left my backpacks I couldn't see them.

I went through the entire train one more time, alerted the conductor but I didn't find it. As a matter of fact I never got my luggage back. But I got a travel insurance which gave me more than enough money to buy new luggage.

Cheap insurance is the one that everybody wants to have during the travel. One has to enquire about the reputation of the firm that is dealing with the insurance coverage related to travel. The travel agency insurance package is to be reviewed carefully before opting for the same. You should examine the kind of factors on which the settlement is made by such firms. These insurance packages are available to cover the medical or surgical or dental structure related expenditures that are made on an emergency basis during the travel time.

The travel insurance package covers the delay in departure, loss of materials owned by the individuals, damage of materials owned by the concerned persons etc. The concerned individuals who want to avail such low cost travel insurance policies can have either a multi trip policy or single trip policy.

Young and adventurous persons will be willing to have a right kind of travel insurance package. One can approach some friends who may travel many times in a year availing low cost insurance package and enquire on the reputation of the firm.

The firm should be known to settle the expenditures pertaining to the travel related claims in a short time, with no delay. The health related features are the top most things you should consider while selecting low priced travel insurance. However, many firms now a days place restriction on the age factor of the individual before choosing a travel policy, despite the fact that the insurance coverage is done at low cost in these firms.

Many a times, the travel insurance coverage may be restricted to certain selected countries. However, many firms now-a-days have come up to cover the travel related features regardless of the destination. You can even select the secure servers for your travel insurance policies. Yes! This is true. You can purchase the insurance policy online through these secured servers and the full documents will be sent to you in an instant.

About the Author
Ian Koch likes to publish Global Travel Insurance Information . The proliferation of cheap flights has made more and more European cities accessible to weekend travellers. Often overshadowed by the Catalan capital, Barcelona , Madrid is now showing what it has to offer and, more importantly, sharing it with foreign visitors.

"Los Austrias" is as good a place as any to start; the oldest part of the city and still bearing the stamp of the Hapsburg dynasty that had such a dominating influence on Madrid until 1700. The "Plaza Mayor" is the focal point of the area; built by Phillip III between 1617 and 1619, it's an elegant square with a rich and varied history.

This is where the great festivals and celebrations of imperial Madrid took place. Visitors these days won't see quite so much excitement but the square hosts a coin and stamp collectors market on Sundays and hosts live bands and performers during festivals. Expect to pay through the nose in the cafés and restaurants which line the square; some however, will be willing to part with a little extra cash just to be able to soak up the atmosphere of one of Madrid's most famous sites.

Next stop is the "Palacio Real"; Madrid 's royal palace is a monument to the classical Italian baroque style. Charles III was the first king to take residence here in 1714. The grand building has a, seemingly absurd, count of 3,000 rooms. The most famous of these is the Throne Room with its sumptuous decorations. Visitors should also pay heed to the gardens, in particular the "Jardine de Sabatini", which was added to the Palace complex in the 1930's and can provide a bit of peaceful seclusion away from the bustle of the city centre.

Another one of the city's most celebrated landmarks is the "Puerto Del Sol" - originally the location for one of the gates marking the eastern entrance to the city. The gate is reported to have been erected around 1440 to control the comings and goings of merchandise in the Spanish capital.

These days the gate is long gone but the square behind it has taken on the name. It's a lively place, equivalent to Times Square and Trafalgar Square in the US and England respectively, as on new year's eve Madrilenos come here in their thousands to hear the clock chime midnight and see in the new year. It is also the centre point of Spain , kilometre zero is in the centre of the square and the six main highways of Spain radiate from this point.

For a bit of greenery and a shaded stroll then there's no better place than the magnificent "Parque del Buen Retiro"; Madrid's most central park. This verdant expanse covers 350 acres and includes formal gardens, fountains, playgrounds and cafes. There is even a lake where locals and tourists can clash oars on the water. All in all, the perfect place for a picnic or for the kids to let off some steam - bear in mind that the park closes at 10.30pm every evening.

The "Panteon de Goya" is a small chapel that serves as the final resting place to the celebrated artist. The man himself decorated the intricate dome and cupola depicting the miracles of St Anthony and it is certainly one of the city's lesser known attractions that is well worth a visit.

One final stop on our tour takes us a little way out of Madrid 's centre to the home of one of the world's most famous football teams. The Santiago Bernabeu stadium has been home to Real Madrid CF since 1947 and the 80,000 seater stadium is an impressive site whether you're a fan of football or not. The stadium houses and excellent museum and is open most days for tours where you get the chance to see the stadium from the main stand and entrance into the playing tunnel and even the changing rooms.

About the Author
Mike McDougall works for Babylon Idiomas, a Spanish language institute with schools in Spain [Barcelona, Madrid, Sevilla, Valencia], Argentina [Buenos Aires] and Costa Rica. So when you look for Rome travel information, you expect to learn details of cathedrals, piazzas, train travel, horrendous Roman traffic and espressos taken at bars.

There are, however, people who not only travel off the beaten track, but make it a point, and rarely stop in at the popular tourist attractions. For the most fascinating Rome travel information, seek the stories of those intrepid travellers who thrive on back street explorations and local-guided expeditions.

These students of life often arrive in a country without having made any plans for accommodation. They will land at the airport or train station with nothing more than a guidebook and some currency to help them around. The first bureau of information they will seek out is a local who may be standing around waiting to collect arriving relatives.

Rather than asking for your standard Rome travel information, they will ask where the best place is to get a cheap meal, or where the scooter hire desk is. Locals in any place in the world are usually happy to part with such details, even if to rid themselves of the pesky tourists.

Spending each night in a different boarding house, hostel, inn or local's home, the savvy traveller-on-the-cheap will revel in his discoveries. He will take his dinner in the most outwardly looking eatery that happens to serve the most delicious spaghetti marinara in the entire world.

He will be invited to Sunday lunch at the home of people he's never met before in his life and before the meal is over, he has become one of the family, and perhaps even offered free accommodation for a night or two. His photo album is made up of former strangers, out-of-the-way locations and sights that are anything but the clichés that end up in other people's albums. He asks for and receives the kind of Rome travel information you simply don't get from a travel agent.

If you prowl the Internet looking for unusual travel stories, you'll often find tales - good and bad - of intrepid wanderers who've learned all kinds of lessons from their trips. But, if you're an inexperienced traveller, you really should prepare yourself in advance and know where you're going and how you're going to get there. Whether you're looking for Paris, New York or Rome travel information, the best way to get it is from others who have walked the path before you.

One of the best sources of Rome travel information can be found at Lets-Travel-Rome.com , where the writers have "walked the streets" on many personal visits to be able to provide "Insider" facts and recommendations. They also partner with tour and accommodation providers who are either based in Rome, or collect detailed reviews from past travellers, that allow vacation arrangements to be made with confidence.

About the Author
Les Sheppard's website gives full information about planning your trip to Rome, including flight deals, Rome accommodation tips, apartment and villa rentals, tour planning and tips on all the top Rome attractions. Who wants to schlep around heavy, bulky bags when you're far from home, most likely running from place to place, trying to make sure all of your belongings continue to be your belongings?

The trick of the trade, according to seasoned travelers, is to consider packing only one bag. What's more, to consider making that bag the size of a carry-on bag. That's right, the size of a bag that fits, or mostly fits, in the overhead compartment on today's commercial airlines.
Consider the following reasons to travel light:

1. Safety Simply put, one bag is easier to keep tabs on than two bags, or three, or... You get the idea. You don't have to check your bags and risk losing them altogether as you travel.

2. Efficiency One bag means less to carry, which means you don't have to pay someone to help you or pony up for one of those Smarte Cartes at the airport. Also, with one bag, you won't be as tempted to buy as many useless souvenirs you'll never need, because there won't be room for anything extra in your bag on the return trip.

3. Flexibility With only one bag, you don't have to worry about getting to the airport so early or sticking around so long after your flight lands. You can run through train terminals more speedily and shove yourself more quickly into the backseats of taxi cabs. And customs inspections? No problem.

So, now that you're convinced you should limit your travel bags to one, you may well be wondering how on earth to fit all your necessaries into a single satchel. Plan carefully what you will need for your trip and take only those thing: If you think, "I might need this" then it's probably safe to assume that you won't. If you think "I can't live without this," then into your travel bag it goes.

Other tips:
* Plan to do laundry while you're traveling (even if that means doing them in your hotel room sink!). This way you won't feel as compelled to take as many clothes.

* Take clothes that you can mix and match.

* For your toiletry items, use travel-size products. Even if they're not easy to find, you'll be glad you took the trouble. And remember that most of them can be refilled and reused--even toothpaste tubes can be refilled with enough patience and manual dexterity!

* Pack underwear, socks, and other small cloth items inside larger items, such as shoes, to maximize all available space.

* Check the weather of your destination ahead of your departure time so you can plan your wardrobe accordingly.

* If you're the type of person who can't resist a good--or a bad--souvenir, take one or two items of clothing that are mostly worn out. Are your kids are now at that special age where they still believe in the magic that is Disney. Have you saved up the cash and are ready for the trip of a lifetime.

Then you need to learn a few tricks before heading off to Disney World and wasting much of your hard earned money.

The first trick for the savvy Disney vacationer is to check on e-bay three weeks before the trip looking for park tickets. Never buy single day single park tickets. The park-hopper ticket is the way to go. This ticket will allow you change parks during the days of your vacation. You can leave one park and go to another to avoid the crowds.

Get to the parks early in the day. Most families like to sleep in and enjoy a late breakfast. So even with the parks opening early in the day they are relatively empty first thing in the morning. Ride the park rides at the back of the park first. It may take a while to walk into the park but most other patrons stop at the first rides and ride those. As the park starts to fill they move to the back rides. Utilize this time to enjoy some of the popular rides at the back of the park and save your fastpass tickets.

At the start of the day do not grab fast pass tickets, wait until the park starts to see more traffic. You need to be aware that there is a time limit on the frequency that you can grab a fast pass ticket. So you cannot obtain another fast pass ticket until the designated time, this time will be on your fast pass ticket. Use these sparingly to pick the choice rides. While you are waiting on your fast pass ticket time enjoy other areas of the parks. When you have to opportunity to pick up your next fast pass then do so immediately. Only at this point can you use the original ticket.
Make sure that you carry a backpack with you into the park.

This pack will serve you well during the day. You should pack in water, and drinks in amounts that are comfortable to carry. This will save you dearly during the day. The cost of drinks and supplies inside the park walls is extravagant.

If you have two adults with you then you will need to team up to allow the kids to get signatures from the characters. Once you are ¾ of the way to a character one of the adults needs to go to the next line to wait for the character while the kids get the first signature. This will dramatically increase your time through the lines for characters.

Make sure you carry a marker to place on your car for the afternoon return trip. The best marker that I have found is those that your local sports teams have for the cars. Virtually everyone has seen the car flag. Purchase two of these prior to the trip to display on your car. This will make it simple to find your car in the afternoon after a hard day in the parks.
Finally, relax and enjoy your vacation. Disney is an exciting trip for you and the kids. If things don't go exactly as planned just let it go and enjoy.

About The Author
Charles Cater and his family take several family trips a year and occassionally stumble upon time and effort saving tips. Airfare is, of course, the most cost prohibitive element of long distance travel.

Many people find themselves in situations where they know someone they could stay with in another city - so accommodations would be free - but there's simply no way of being able to get there affordably. In terms of discount travel, there are some solutions to expensive airfares that are worth looking into if you are flexible and interested on a short visit rather than a long trip.

One of the cheapest ways you can fly is called courier flying. How this works is: courier companies exist that specialize in delivering relatively small packages quickly - things like important business documents etc. . . and what these companies want is your baggage allotment on a flight. So they will offer extremely discounted fares in order to get your baggage allotment.

If you sign up for a courier flight, your job will be to show up at the airport with carry on luggage only, meet someone with a package who will check it onto the plane in your space (you won't normally have to handle the package), and take the flight. In most cases you are required to take a return flight as well in a relatively short time (usually a few days, and rarely more than a month), which is why courier travel is more suitable to quick cross-country visits than long term travel.

Here are some samples of the approximate discounts on return fares, obtained through a simple internet search: New York to Paris, $250; Los Angeles to Sydney, $400. In some cases, if you are on their call list, the courier may become desperate with a last minute flight and offer it for free.

Now, with such extreme discounts, there must be a catch, right? Of course: courier flying would be simply too good to be true it didn't come with an extreme lack of flexibility. Courier flying works by placing yourself on a list to be contacted by the companies. You're not likely to receive much notice, and until you board the plane, your fate is entirely in the hands of the courier company: if there is a change or a problem with the package, for example, you're out of luck.

More so than other types of discount travel, courier flying is dependant on you being able to establish a repoire with the company. If you have been flexible and completed flights for a company in the past, you may be able to establish a relationship where they call you first to offer a flight, in which case you'll have some more options.

Regardless, to engage in courier flying you have to be very flexible, and although it is one of the most extreme forms of discount travel available, it remains fairly restrictive. If you're interested your best bet is to try one or two courier flights and hope that you can establish a good relationship with the company.

About The Author
John Navata owns a travel agency in Chicago, IL. Up until recently, as your aircraft landed at Grantley Adams International Airport, you could see that symbol of ultimate luxury parked on the runway: Concorde. Today, she’s hidden away in a hangar but still a testament to the fact that British Airways felt that Barbados was the only other place in the world – apart from New York – which could sustain Concorde flying into the island twice a week.

As the ultimate, premier, warm weather holiday destination for tourists worldwide, Barbados boasts a repeat clientele of over 40 percent. Concorde may be long gone but Barbados has cemented its status as the luxury Caribbean island and it is constantly upgrading its amenities for its visitors.

In terms of tourists, the Brits make up around 42% (or approximately 220,000 tourists) per year and is it any wonder that the Brits love Barbados? If you forget the fabulous weather for a moment and put aside the azure blue ocean and the odd tropical plant…you could be forgiven for thinking that you were driving around Surrey or the Cotswolds, with men in full cricket whites playing on village greens, pretty parish churches and red telephone boxes and post boxes dotted around the Barbados countryside. For many, this is the island’s appeal: a quaint, old-fashioned Englishness making it seem almost like a home-from-home.

No guide to Barbados is complete without a mention of cricket. Over the years, Barbados has supplied some of the world’s top cricketers, such as Sir Garry Sobers, Everton Weekes, Charlie Griffith, Clyde Walcott, Mitchell Hewitt and Wes Hall to name but a few. The island’s cricketers left the island to join international teams and in some cases to captain them. With the International Cricket World Cup in 2007, the island is currently rebuilding its top cricket ground, the Kensington Oval.

Is barbados just for the jet set?
Like anywhere in the world, if you choose to stay in the best properties and eat in the finest restaurants, you’re going to find it pricey. However, Barbados has a huge variety of places to stay and eat and to suit all budgets and tastes. The island has a number of top end hotels mainly on the west coast of the island where you’ll find a 24-mile ribbon of fine, sandy beaches and the calm Caribbean sea. The southern coast is more suitable for families with children and offers more affordable accommodation, restaurants, bars and clubs. The south of the island is undoubtedly the best for nightlife.

How far is barbados from the UK?
Only 8.5 hours cheap flight to Barbados from UK – no further than Florida. Time difference is the same as the USA. Many airlines operate a daily service of cheap flights to Barbados from either Gatwick or Manchester with regional connections.

What is there to do in barbados?
If you’ve had your fill with sunbathing and sipping cool cocktails by the edge of the warm waters of the Caribbean…..then you could go on a submarine tour, hiking, horse-riding, quad-biking, mountain-biking, golfing or sail in a glass-bottom boat or visit Barbados Wildlife Reserve, Harrison’s Cave or take an Island Safari or even go swimming with the turtles! For those who decide to shop, remember that Barbados is a duty-free island and you are likely to pick up some very good branded bargains! Children and grown-ups alike will love the Atlantis Submarine which dives to 55 feet where passengers can view a spectacular coral reef and an abundance of marine life. It then descends to depths of 115-150 feet to view a sunken shipwreck. This fascinating underwater journey is expertly narrated by the co-pilot.

Where to eat in barbados?
For a more formal affair, head to L’Acajou at the deluxe Sandy Lane Hotel which overlooks the beach and the sea and serves a mixture of fine French and Caribbean haute cuisine. Or try some typical Caribbean dishes at The Cliff which has been voted one of the top 50 restaurants in the world and is a regular celebrity haunt. For freshly caught fish, alligator or ostrich, try The Restaurant at Southsea which features in Conde Nast Traveller’s Hot Tables List. Zen is one of the best Japanese/Thai restaurants in Barbados and is found at The Crane Hotel on the South Coast.

For affordable prices at the best hotels in Barbados, log onto http://www.myvacations.co.uk for the best priced deals.
